Speech & Language Evaluation

A clear, compassionate starting point to understand your child’s communication strengths and challenges, and to create a personalized plan that supports their growth with confidence.

What is Speech & Language Evaluation?

An evaluation is a thorough look at your child’s speech and language skills using play-based activities, standardized measures, observation, and a collaborative parent interview. I tailor the process to your child’s age, interests, and needs to get an accurate picture, and translate results into practical, family-friendly recommendations.

What to expect during your evaluation.

Your child’s evaluation will be comfortable, supportive, and thorough. We’ll discuss your concerns, observe communication through play, and use simple assessments as needed. What you’ll receive!

After your child’s evaluation, you won’t be left with questions—you’ll leave with answers. From same-day feedback and a detailed written report to a personalized therapy plan and referrals (when needed), you’ll have clear guidance and practical next steps to support your child’s growth with confidence.

  • Before you leave, I’ll explain what I observed in clear, simple language so you understand your child’s strengths and areas of need. You’ll walk away with immediate insight into next steps.

  • Within 5–7 business days, you’ll receive a comprehensive written report with results, any scores (if used), and practical recommendations. This report is easy to share with teachers, doctors, or other professionals supporting your child.

  • Your child’s plan will include specific therapy goals and simple strategies you can use at home. This ensures progress continues beyond our sessions and fits naturally into your daily routines.

  • If additional support is recommended, I’ll connect you with trusted specialists like audiologists, occupational therapists, or physical therapists. These referrals help ensure your child’s needs are fully supported.
